When I am with patients I focus on providing quality, gentle, dental hygiene care and on keeping visits relaxing and comfortable. I like getting to know my patients so I can understand their needs and make effective suggestions for their long-term dental health. Since I have had various roles in dentistry and business, I bring patients what I have learned nationwide from clinical dental hygiene experts, periodontists, dentists, business leaders and my personal clinical and business experiences. My dental career began as a dental assistant, then later I completed dental hygiene school, and later finished advanced degrees in clinical dental hygiene, clinical teaching, and business administration. Since then, I have served as faculty in dental assisting, dental hygiene, and dental school programs, and also as a dental consultant and business owner.
When I am not with patients, I enjoy freelance writing, speaking, learning about new products and techniques; coaching business owners, healthcare practitioners, and individuals on how to maximize their potential. I also teach trauma survivors how to rebuild their lives and maximize their potential. My relaxation time involves walking/hiking, traveling, meeting people, serving at my church, spending time with my family, friends, and God; and maximizing each day and the blessings God's given me.
